Dear Fans and Friends,

Try not to miss my biggest show of the year to date, June 19th at JZ Brat in Shibuya Tokyo, though if Yokohama is more convenient for you, the same band will be performing at Bar Bar Bar in Kannai Tue June 17th, and that show will be taped live for broadcast on the Japanese cable channel YOU-TV. Details appear below, at the end of this newsletter.

As of June, I have gotten a new weekly gig, playing solo guitar during every Saturday and Sunday Brunch 12 noon till 2 pm at the: Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi (7th floor) Pacific Century Place Marunouchi 1-11-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo (next to Tokyo station)

I can also still be heard (in my third year) with the Imperial Duo (Chako-guitar, Hiroshi Tanaka-piano) in the Imperial Hotel`s Aqua Lounge (top floor) every Friday night.

My new CD, “Everybody`s Got a Name”, has been reviewed in the world`s most famous Jazz magazine, JazzTimes, as well as in Japan`s JazzWise magazine. All the reviews have been extremely wonderful. Please buy some CDs and help support my musical efforts!

Finally, on a more personal note, I am taking College classes online to further my academic studies. It`s a maximum load, but I am very excited about the work. And, recently in Kobe, Japan, I was given a “spiritual name” by Master Guru, Amritanandamaya, AKA, AMMA. The name is spelled “Hriday” in English, and in her language (Malayalam, from Kerala in Southern India), pronounced something like “her-day”. More importantly, the meaning of the word is “Heart”. I am looking forward to composing and recording music to go with the new name, and have already finished some lyrics. God willing, I will record again sometime next year.
