Bandleader Greg Chako distinguished himself early on as an exceptional
guitarist by placing first in the American Guild of Music Competition
at the age of 11. His formal music education in the USA includes
a performance major at Berklee College of Music, Advanced Jazz
Improvisation at Hampshire College under Dr. Ray Copeland and Archie
Sheep, as well as classical studies in New York City under Edgar
Dana and Pat O'Brien. Relocating to Asia six years ago, Greg has
established himself as a first rate soloist, bandleader, and composer,
performing with the Hong Kong Philharmonic, and in top hotels and
jazz clubs in Hong Kong and Singapore. He has recorded five CD's,
and critics have described his recordings as "Pure Magic!", "Impeccable", "Swinging
and melodic". A reviewer from England said, "Everything
about his CD oozes class!"

Billy Martinez is Singapore's most experienced and sought after
bassist, having performed locally for over 30 years in a variety
of groups, and with The Greg Chako Trio for over 3 years. He is
a former member of the Radio Television of Singapore Orchestra
and the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation Orchestra. He is also
an adept pianist who has performed as a soloist in Singapore's
top hotel's and jazz clubs. His singing abilities are also much
in demand and he is affectionately known to his peers and local
audiences as "Frank Sumatra". He is the bassist on Greg
Chako's jazz CD, "Sudden Impact", and he is the featured
vocalist as well on Chako's recent release, "Live at Raffles". When
singing for the World Beat band he does bossa-nova favorites like "Girl
From Ipanema", "So Danzo Samba", "Once I Loved", "Dindi",
and tunes by Michael Franks like "Antonio's Song", and "Down
in Brazil".

Edmond Branson has been playing drums since he was 14 years
old. His professional experience includes 4 album recordings, international
tours, festivals and local concerts playing a wide range of music
including gospel, funk, jazz/blues, pop, and ethnic music. He worked
for 2 years with Faired Ali in The Pacific Rim Band, 2 years with
the Don Gomes Trio at the Regent Hotel, and is a founding member
of the percussion group, Tribal Tide. Other playing credits include
Dick Lee, Bob Fits (Integrity recording artist), Ernie Watts, Eric
Marienthal, Islander Ismail, Hosanna Music Ministry, Strait Jacket,
Jive Talking, John Chi's Blues Band and Soiled Out.
